5: Kangaskhan
Species: Parent Pokemon
Type: Normal
Why it is placed here: This is a mother Pokemon as she always carries a baby Kangaskhan in its pouch through every game. Although based on a Kangaroo and Genghis Khan (founder of the Mongol Empire), it's always female and is very protective over its child. It would do anything to protect its young and will become violently enraged if people attempt to catch or harm the baby. As I have said, this is a mother and motherly-love is so precious to many people.

4: Lopunny
Species: Rabbit Pokemon
Type: Normal
Why it is placed here: Lopunny is your typical girl-like Pokemon. It may be based off of the Playboy Bunnies or Kemonomimi people, the anime people with "animal ears". Some of its attacks that placed it on here are Sweet Kiss, Charm, and Encore. Though Lopunny can be male as well, this Pokemon is a good choice for number four.

3: Gardevoir
Species: Embrace Pokemon
Type: Psychic
Why it is placed here: Gardevoir isn't your typical girly Pokemon. Not only can they be males as well, but their name means to protect. Garde is French for "guard" and devoir is French for duty. They resemble a ballroom dancer or a anesama ningyou, a style of traditional Japanese paper dolls. Not only are they cute, but they're also quite powerful considering the other two.

2: Jynx
Species: Human Shape Pokemon
Type: Ice/Psychic
Why it is placed here: Jynx may not be a generally loved female Pokemon, but it's quite good. It's based on a Zwarte Piet and originated with Yuki Onna or Yama Uba. Besides all that trivia, having a cold Pokemon with you during Valentine's Day isn't romantic, and if you tick her the wrong way, she'll surely Ice Punch you. If you're kind to her, however, you might even receive a Lovely Kiss. Don't you want to be kissed by her?

Species: Rendezvous Pokemon
Type: Water
Why it is placed here: Luvdisc, in my opinion, is the meaning of love in Pokemon. Not only is it a play on love in its name, but it's based on a discus fight and other species of fish that appear to kiss each other. Even though it has quite terrible stats except speed, it has the ability to captivate you and kiss you sweetly. I mean, for Valentine's Day, don't YOU want to be kissed by your love?
