Have you ever had the need to battle the Factory's head, Thorton, but every time you tried you always lose at the first 14 battles?
Well you just have to follow these steps and have a little luck and you'll have your silver print soon enough.

SWAP RENTAL POKéMON
In the Battle Factory, you're expected to rent Pokemon to battle with. To build a good team out of what's available, your extensive knowledge
of types, moves, and abilities will be proven useful. You'll only gain more knowledge as you work to win battles and advance in rank here.

TRADE OFTEN TO ACCESS TO STRONG POKEMON
To have strong pokemon offered to you in trade at the start of a round, make sure you trade often the previous rounds. In rounds after that you'll be offered more powerful pokemon.

1) CHOOSE RENTAL POKéMON BASED ON YOUR OPPONENT'S POKéMON
The Battle Factory staff will hint about your opponents, feeding you with useful information. Here is what they will tell you for each round:

Use this data to decide which pokemon you rent, and form a strategy. For example, pick a lead pokemon with distinc type advantage over your opponent.

As I mentioned earlier, After each battle at the Battle Factory, you can trade one of your current pokemon for one of the ones you just defeated - So pay attecion to thei moves, abilities and items.
Also careful to keep your team diverse, not picking pokemon of the same type - you might later run into an opponent they're all weak against.

TIPS ON SELECTING A NEW POKéMON

1. Note your opponent's features
See if the Pokemon has moves that play to its strengths, and what items it holds.

2. Get the scoop on your next opponent
Select your pokemon based on what the staff tells you about your next opponent.

POKéMON CHOICES AND THEIR ROLES IN YOUR TEAM

1.Lead Pokemon
A fast Pokemon with few weaknesses: Your pokemon are sent out based on the order you picked them in, so your first pokemon should be one with few type weaknesses. That way, you're less likely to have to switch the Pokemon out right away if you run into a troublesome type.
It also helps to use a Pokemon with a high speed stat, so that they get the first attack.

Example: Normal-types are only weak against Fighting-type moves. Linoone has relatively high speed.

2.Heart of the team
A Pokemon with a variety of move types: The middle Pokemon on your team should be one with a variety of moves types, making it easier to exploit your opponent's weaknesses. Also try to get a pokemon high in both Attack and Special Attack. If its Defense or Special Defense isn't up to spec, you can still chip away at the foe using auxiliary moves.

Example: Omastar has high Special Attack. Have it use strong Water, and Ice-type moves, suck as Surf and Ice beam.

3.Defense Pokemon
A pokemon that can endure a long battle: Hold down the fort using a Pokemon with high Defense or Special Defense. You can always Switch in this pokemon to make a brunt of attacks, chipping away your opponent with status conditions and sure-hit moves instead of depending on High Attack power.

Example: Dusclops has high Defense, and is immune to Normal- and Fighting-type moves.

FACTORY HEAD THORTON!

~1st time (21st battle) Trade for Pokemon to face Thorton

Thorton is subject to the same rules that you are - he has to use rental Pokemon too, so you dont know what pokemon to expect.
On the third round, try to trade for a team of mixed types that can stand against any opponent.

~2nd time (49th battle) Trade for a winning team!

You still have no idea what pokemon Thorton will bring to the battle, so on each round just keep trading and trading - that way, by the 7th round, there should be some really strong pokemon available for trade.

POKéMON FROM THE 22nd BATTLE AND ONWARD

Lots of Powerful attacks: Once you beat Factory Head Thorton in the 21st battle, the pokemon you face in the following battles will become even
stronger. Keep in mind that also means stronger Pokemon to trade onto your team. In addition to you anticipating
attacks and exploit weaknesses, making good pokemon trades is key to increasing your win record.
