SCIZOR
Pokedex number - 212
Type - Bug/Steel
Height - 5' 11"
Weight - 260.1 lbs.

Pokedex Entry:
It raises its pincers with eyelike markings for intimidation. It also swings them down dangeroulsly.

Aditional data:
When scizor evolves from scyther it's speed drops dramatically. Its second type also changes from flying to steel giving it a bit of an edge. No more danger from rock attacks!

Appearance: Scizor stands at 5’11” and weighs just over 260 lbs. It is primarily red with a thick exoskeleton much like an insect but has accents of black on its’ neck, chest and abdomen. Two crab-like claws, with yellow-and-black eye-like patterns on them that bear a faint resemblance to a Trapinch’s head, extend from the tips of its’ arms. Scizor has two-toed feet with one toe in front and the other in the back and two-lobed wings like a butterfly extending from its’ back. The female has a bigger abdomen than the male like it’s pre-evolution. The shiny form is an apple green with lime green accents, the yellow dot remains the same.

Evolution: If Scyther undergoes a trade while holding metal coat, the particles of the item will meld with the DNA of the pokémon causing it to undergo extreme changes forming Scizor. This newly evolved pokémon no longer has the speed of Scyther but is stronger, more durable and can learn steel-type moves.

Behavior: Their claws are primarily used to intimidate other pokémon. The two claws look like heads when raised and are waved around to scare off other pokémon. The claws are capable of much damage as they contain steel and can crush any object it gets hold of, though this is usually attempted after the warning display. Despite having wings, Scizor rarely uses them to fly instead they have developed as a way to cool down its’ body temperature.

Build Suggestions

Natures
Scizor has a nice base attack stat (130) and decent defense (100). An adamant nature would still allow for some speed, while only taking away from special attack. If your strategy involves him being slower, you could go with a brave nature which adds to attack and takes away from speed.

Moves to consider:
You'll want to focus with physical attacks rather than special, especially if you go with an adamant or brave natured Scizor. But of course, it's up to you!
Iron Head -- base power is 80, but you also get a same type attack bonus (STAB). It has 100% accuracy which is nice, and has a 30% chance of causing the target to flinch. This gives you a small chance to get a free hit in.
Swords Dance -- This one is pretty standard. It'll raise your Scizor's attack stat. Always helpful!

Bug Bite -- STAB with a base power of 60, plus you can steal the berry of the other Pokémon! Fun mind games.

Our Gym Leader Leon recommends: Sword Dance, Bug Bite, Bullet Punch, Brick Break.
